Health seeking behaviour [HSB] affects the quality of healthcare people can access. Human beings have different places where they seek their health care and doctors have different approaches, and various factors that contribute on a particular approach. Various issues behind self-prescription, self-treatment and informal consultations have been described pertaining to doctors’ HSB. This study aims to explore the perceptions and practices on HSB of doctors at A TERTIARY HOSPITAL IN MALAWI, using a qualitative approach. The study period is 6 weeks, data will be collected using In-depth interviews, and the target population is the medial doctors. The data collected will be analysed using various software. It is anticipated that the study will give us some insight pertaining to what factors affect MDs choices when getting the medical help they need. The study findings will be compiled and presented at the Research Dissemination Seminar organized by the COM in MBBS 4, and possibly be submitted for publication in the Malawi Medical Journal.en_US
