Abstract
His Excellency Dr Lazarus Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi, on Tuesday 4th January 2022, met with members of the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) Council and Management, accompanied by the Ministers of Education and Health.
The meeting took place at Kamuzu Palace, where the Council members presented an ambitious plan to construct a High-Tech Kamuzu University Teaching Hospital (KUTH) in Blantyre, whose construction site has already been identified in the area of Senior Chief Kuntaja.
President Chakwera expressed delight at the plan and pledged his support to see it done, for it aligns with his Administration's resolve to invest in health and education infrastructure for human capital development in pursuit of Malawi 2063 Vision.
